Revision StingerHawk Military Eyewear System | USGI
The Revision StingerHawk Military Eyewear System is the U.S. Army Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL) ballistic spectacle built around a single principle: maximum protection in the lowest-profile, lightest package possible. Where other ballistic eyewear compromises comfort for protection or style for performance, the StingerHawk delivers all three without apology.
The frame is built for operators running comms, helmets, and headgear in tight quarters. Slimline ergonomic temple arms are thin enough to stay comfortable under Viper and Cobra helmets, work with comms systems, and not create hotspots on extended wear — a detail that sounds minor until you're 12 hours into a patrol. The overmolded underframe provides shock absorption and grip without adding bulk. The adjustable nosepiece extends and retracts to dial in positioning for different face shapes and gear configurations.
The lenses are optical-grade polycarbonate and are where the system earns its keep. They exceed MIL-PRF-32432A ballistic fragmentation requirements for Class 1 spectacles and meet STANAG 2920 V50 at 807 ft/s — meaning they stop fragments moving faster than the speed of sound. Revision's patented OcuMax® coating has been independently tested to outlast competing anti-fog solutions by a factor of 10–20 times, is chemical-resistant including DEET, and prevents scratches, streaks, and smears in the field. Full 100% UV-A, B, and C protection built in. Distortion-free optics throughout.
